2008.11.25, Taipei –ACARD Technology corp. today unveiled its new 8-channel DVR system designed for OEM/ODM applications. the brand-new 8-channel DVR system, ADR-7008L, was designed based on ACARD's DVR SoC platform. It offers system or turnkey solutions to customers according to their requirements.

The demand for video surveillance has been increasing around the world and it is now used in retailers ans families. As some homes and stores are now looking for video surveillance solutions that offer more than 4 channels, ACARD releases an 8-channel economic high-quality DVR solution to meet such needs. The 8-channel DVR system takes MPEG4 digital video compression format and D1 (720*480) recording resolution to provide high-quality video. The intuitive User Interface design makes this DVR system more suitable for all end users. CF card for video backup is also supported so users can easily backup any important video file they need.
The most common problem for DVR system is running out of storage space. ACARD paid particular attention to this issue during the design phase, so eSATA interface was designed into the DVR system for users to connect optional external storage devices.
