Introducing the world’s first direct disc-burning system (Direct Burn) for digital security surveillance that has been passed by the patent certification in Japan
--- First to release a surveillance system that does not require a hard drive, and have the ability to directly burn data onto optical discs for storage.

February 25, 2011 Taipei – ACARD Technology Corp., who specializes in SCSI/IDE/SATA, RAID and security surveillance storage device OEM/ODM designs announced today, an optical disc storage system that is designed with a mechanical arm and is able to automatically change discs for direct video burning storage. It is equipped with ACARD’s 2.5 generation single-chip native SATA storage processor, especially designed for video surveillance systems and a certified patent product of Japan (Patent number: 3164078). The direct video burning technology used on this optical disc surveillance system is different from the optical storage backup seen on the market today. Users do not need to save the digital image onto the host computer’s hard drive, then manually back it up onto optical discs. The surveillance video recording also does not record onto the host computer’s hard drive. Instead, video images are burned directly onto the optical disc. This feature can prevent the video from being meddled with during the conversion process. When presented as evidence in court, it can be used as the most solid and compelling evidence. It also has the following features:

1. Patent protection technology to directly burn the video onto the optical disc for storage and backup.
2. Automated optical disc change to save on burning labor costs.
3. The video captured by CCTV camera is directly burned onto the optical disc; this can avoid the risk of tampering, theft or damage.
4. Automatic disc cover printing makes it easy to identify the contents on the disc.
5. The optical discs are easy to store and manage after burning.
6. Using the optical disc storage method makes it convenient to carry.

These features can save on the cost of surveillance machines which uses hard drives as main storage. It also saves on video back up time to optical discs after recording onto the hard drive. No other optical disc backup for surveillance systems on the market can compare.
