 August 30, 2011 Taipei – Well known for its data and image storage design, the Acard Technology Corp. (ATC) launched its in-house developed and designed ACR7501A (LD588) driving recorder today. Featured 640x480 / 30FPS real recording image quality and a 2.4" TFT LCD, this new debut item is one of the most affordable and high-quality driving recorders in the market.
Driving recorders are getting increasing attention from drivers faced with more and more driving incidents. Image definition is the key factor for car accidents recorded by your driving recorder product. Lenses and pixels are the two elements that affect image definition. With regard to resolution, 640x480 pixel is adequate for clear viewing while maintaining a proper recording file size. Quality lenses result in a high definition image. The LD588 employs four high-quality, sensitive lenses for better transparency and imaging quality when compared with that of plastic lenses.
The LD588 performs even better when recording in the evening. Many products feature an IR function. This does not make sense, as IR or LED aid is better for indoor monitoring devices. When used in car, the recorded images blur, as windshields block IR light and lead to reflections. The ACARD LD588 recorder employs a sensitive image sensor to work under dim light, without over or under exposure, ensuring recording quality even in dark environments.
 Take viewing angle. In general, a viewing angle of 70 degree is adequate to cover both the left and right front sides of your car. Larger angles than this would shrink the size of the plates in front of you and worsen their identification. Your LD588 recorder employs a 110 degree wide angle lens for proper viewing distance and scope and most driving environments.
