ACARD Technology Corp. recently won the Linux Golden Penguin Award on the 3rd Competition given by Taipei Computer Association. The theme by which ACARD won the award is The Network Storage Interface Controller for Linux Platform. It fully shows that ACARD is professional in the field of Linux. The ceremony will be held at Taipei International Conference Center in the morning of August 1, 2005. On the site ACARD is going to exhibit its R&D achievements and technologies, including self-developed Linux driver & software, applications on the embedded Linux by using the IDE control chip, digital homes A/V data storage via Linux platform, lower H/W & S/W costs by replacing the x86 PCs CPU with RISC CPU, and Internets home NAS for data storage, sharing as well as cross-platform support.
